INTERACTION OF COLOR, SOUTHGATE 90280
The title of this work pays homage and makes reference to the color experimentations by Josef Albers and his book Interaction of Color (1963).

This series of photographs document alleys in the City of Southgate, featuring graffiti tagging that has been carefully covered over by homeowners and anti-graffiti crews, leaving behind a ghost-like painted remnant, that hovers between abstraction and minimalist painting.

MIXED MEDIA PHOTOGRAPHY
Applying paint to mimic the emulsions and pointillist retouching on chromogenic and gelatin silver prints, these mixed media photo-works borrow images culled from Donis’ vast photographic archive along with discarded found-photo.

PRODUCT (TEST SHOTS)
These photographs were created in the style of product photography utilizing a combination of materials and objects that would be uncommon in a commercial product shoot.
